Smart Materials and Shock Lab

Brett Layer

Research

Brett started the lab with Dr. Hill in 2022 and did research in tensegrity robotics. While here, he developed various custom applications for tensegrity systems, including doing research into movable-mass tensegrity robots, state estimation on a tensegrity robot, and shock optimization using a surrogate tensegrity model. While here, we worked as a software engineer with Lockheed Martin and currently is pursuing an MBA at the Marriot school of Business.
